With this first Lore Development, we have officially entered Phase One of a three-phase plan for ongoing Lore additions. Our long-term goal is for these phases to intersect and expand on each other into a true ARG plotline featuring more mini-events with lots of opportunity for community interaction. We also want to feature more Faunids owned by users who make the effort to participate in the world of Atalav as cameos in these lore developments, so you may notice more and more familiar faces as we explore together! 

During Phase One, we will focus on lore expansion related to: facets of Corruption, the daily lives of Faunids, Faunid architecture, history and culture, tool and material usage (by both Quad and Anthro Faunids), astronomy, and festivals.

This first article will have more information added onto it as October progresses, featuring sigils designed by members of our community.

DO NOT PURCHASE TOKENS UNTIL THE EVENT OFFICIALLY STARTS. 

We are in the process of setting up a Faunids business account to host these purchases. It is very important that no one buys tokens before this is finalized. We may have new or updated items this year, as well, depending on what we decide on the artist team. If we do, we want them all to be viewable alongside other tokens before the event goes live. We won't be able to refund tokens that are bought before our announcement!

This year, the Corruption Event will start a bit earlier than usual. Our new schedule will allow us to support our newer artists through their first event and get a head start on our queues before our first official release (and a few other special reasons).

Here is our new timeline: 

September 14th (Sunday):
Corruption Event forms open. 

October 4th (Saturday):
The first custom corrupts/corruptions from Official Artists are released, with a minimum of one from each artist.
Every Saturday will feature a release until all Corruptions are complete. 

October 12th (Sunday):
Corruption Event forms close.

This year, we will be adding a second set of bases (one Anthro, one Quad) to use for the event!
These bases were made by Necrologia with input and support from the rest of our artist team. We are so excited and thankful for Necro's hard work to add some more life to one of our biggest events of the year. 

The new bases feature subspecies not found on the original set: Sambar, Caribou, Sika, Roe, Chinese Water Deer, and Pere David’s. 

Both sets will be available to use and the form will be updated so users can specify their chosen base. Additional species may be requested, but major edits may require an additional fee. We tried to have a wide variety to choose from overall to reduce this as much as possible. 

The bases will be fully revealed closer to the Event itself, but here's a fun little sneak peek for everyone:

Our full artist availability for Corruption is now up-to-date! You can view their preferences and payment options [HERE].

This will be the first ever Corruption Event for MUTT and pebb. Both may have limited slots and must pre-approve forms before users officially submit them. While you can't pre-purchase items, you are free to reach out and see if they feel confident they could work with your concept!

Fenris Children will be making an appearance during this event, but it will look different than how it has in the past.
We have some more fun secrets planned, and they'll be revealed with some time!
