Fawning Event
Oncoming lunar activity has made the local spirits restless in their Middling Plane, and now they gather at the Rosen Forest in search of a new life. This year, there is a strange, energetic thrum in the air. The spirits are restless and eager to rejoin the world of the living.
The quest to search for new life cannot be done alone. You must meet with a companion, and together embark on a long and arduous journey to discover the newly-born Fawn brought into existence. This requires trust in both yourself and the living soul in your company.

How Fawning works
In order to participate in this event, you must link two Faunids to "find" a Fawn.

You must have permission from the owner(s) of the Faunid(s) you are using. You do not need to own either Faunid submitted in your form. Submitted faunids can be privately owned or public helpers.

Like the fawn lines but don't want a fawn?
Get your existing faun transferred to the fawn lines! This does not "make them young", it is purely for fun.

The 2026 Fawning Season has not started yet.
Rules & Guidelines
If you aren't satisfied with your Fawnid, you may reroll once. Re-rolling a Fawn is free only if the Fawn has not been drawn.
Mutation odds are not rerolled with traits. If a Fawnid rolls to have a Mutation, this roll will carry to the reroll.
New in 2026:
“Scrapped” Fawnid designs that are re-rolled by the owner will not be used or re-purposed by either an Official Artist or any other user. They will be saved only for the potential use of creating informational visual guides on-site.

Only one form per person is allowed to be posted every 24hrs.
You can order a maximum of 3 Fawns per season unless you possess a voucher for a fourth.
The user posting the form must be the one owning the Fawn.
Users may freely sponsor another user's Fawn between one another, so the owner is not required to be the one paying for the Fawn.
New in 2026:
All Fawn Orders will be placed through a submission prompt on-site. You do not need to be a member of the Discord to order a Fawn.

Faunids have a maximum of 3 slots annually, unless a Fourth Fawning Voucher is used by the owner.
The maximum amount that can be charged for slots is $30 TOTAL.
For example:
A Helper with three public slots could charge $10 for each slot at most, but may charge less if desired.
A Helper with one public slot could charge $30 for that slot, but the remaining two slots must be free.
New in 2026:
Fawnids are no longer incremental in price. There is a flat base fee regardless of whether it is the first, second, or third Fawnid ordered by a user. Some of our artists take payment in Euros, which is notated on the available artists tab above.

Fawns can have a maximum of 15 traits.
Your chosen artist will be able to choose which traits to remove to fit this cap (except secured traits).
Herne's Blessing cannot be applied to pass this number. Your item(s) can be refunded, re-allocated as "credit" to be used elsewhere for faunid-related events, or kept on your account for future Fawns.

All Fawnids from this event will be colored on a customized base.
2026:
Through community vote, Fawns will be drawn on the 2023 base set.

All Fawnids have a chance to be born with a companion.
This chance is 1/10 for all Fawns. The companion itself is not random, and will be chosen by the artist to compliment the Fawn. Companions are for fun and not required to be kept as part of the Fawnid aging process.

Herne's Grace
Herne's Grace is an item that is used by users who may want another unexpected aspect to their Fawn that distinguishes them beyond their lineage. Graces may result in subtle changes, such as slight hue alterations/marking changes, or may be much more dramatic. It's a gamble!
Graces are never random. Each Fawn with a Grace is discussed amongst the whole artist team during creation to find something we believe compliments a pairing/design. This item shouldn't be used when users have a very particular attachment to the pair and their color palettes and do not want to go beyond what may be possible with the pair already.
As of 2026, we are doing a trial-run of allowing users to hope for or hope against a main body color. While hoping against a color doesn't mean that color will not be on that Fawn at all, it will not be the main focus of the design if it is present as an accent in some way.
You may EITHER hope for a color OR hope against a color. You cannot do both!

Fawnids may be born with Wild Traits.
A new item, Herne's Gamble, has mysteriously appeared in every user's inventory. This item is used to opt-in to the possibility of Wild Traits. If a pairing does not result in a Wild Trait, the item will be returned to your inventory. If you would like to obtain more of this token, users may trade for more.
Wild Traits are caused by specific successfully rolled traits combining into new traits. Some of these traits may occur through more than one combination of factors.
The names of Wild Traits contain clues to what factors can cause them to appear. Wild Traits marked as "Exclusive" mean that one or more of their factors are Exclusive traits.
