The chimebird is named for its light bell-like call that is most commonly heard during the morning and evening. Every call is unique to the bird and allows each individual to find their mate or chicks with ease. These animals are very close to their familial group and can be found in family groups of three to ten members consisting of the breeding pair and offspring.
It can be found in most of the mainland of Atalav, which variations of the chime bird appearing in isolated locations like the Salmon Islands and in The Cold North. None of these subspecies have been reported to hybridize with other chimebirds.
Colors on the chimebird will vary based on age, location, and hierarchical ranking in their group. As Faunids have tamed them, very unique strains of colors have been discovered varying from white all the way to black.
