Vertebrates

Animals with backbones are called vertebrates.

They comprise one of the best-known groups of animals and include fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals, including faunids.

Vertebrates are members of the subphylum Vertebrata, which is part of the phylum Chordata.
