Shelter A Companion

We've collected quite a few baubles and trinkets while fishing. Not only are we cleaning up the coasts and rivers, we're also catching some things that could be quite useful for our displaced companion species!

There are three different ways to meet the requirements of this prompt.
Whichever option you choose to submit, it must be your own work to meet the requirements of this prompt. 

There are eight companion species bases to choose from. Your task will be to color one of them (or write about one)!

Option 1 - Digital Coloring

Once you have the file you want to use, you now have your coloring page! You are free to add patterns, make lineart edits, and otherwise add character to your chosen creature as long as they are still recognizable as the species. If you're not sure about an edit you want to make, feel free to ask a staff member. 

Option 2 - Traditional Coloring

With the transparent .PNG files linked above, you can print out the blank lineart and take a picture of the finished work to upload onto the gallery.
Crayons, colored pencils, markers, or any other medium you prefer to use are acceptable. 

Option 3 - Written Narrative

Written narratives must be at least 500 words. To fulfill the prompt, your writing entry must feature a companion. 

Consider these questions to guide your writing: 

Does your Faunid get along with a certain species? What makes them work well together?

Maybe your Faunid rescued one of these critters! How did they go about that?

For the more mischievous species, how might your Faunid react to having some of their treasures stolen?
Maybe they were pranked by a group of Shriekers, or had their catch snatched by a Cackler!

You must create a gallery submission FIRST before submitting the prompt! 

The gallery is where all of the images are stored. The prompt is where you attach them to receive your prizes. 

Instructions

Click the 'Gallery' tab in the site menu, then the + sign to upload a new image. Make sure you give it a name! 

Now, you're ready to submit the prompt. On the prompt submission page, find your image in the 'Gallery URL' dropdown to attach it. That's it!

Special Note

During the Summer Camp wrap-up, you will be able to trade in your fishing items for prizes. One of those options is to exchange ten items to a critter, allowing you to befriend it. By doing so, you'll be able to submit a colored base and turn it into a real companion character! It does not have to be the one you submit for this prompt. More details will be given during the wrap-up.
